Mercedes-Benz presented the GLE, the class that will replace the ML-Class, with the car to debut next week at the New York auto show.

The car borrows many elements from the GLE Coupe, but it has new lights, new grille, new bumper and a new bonnet. On the back it features slightly different lights and exhaust tailpipes. The interior of the GLE is identical to that of the GLE Coupe, featuring a slightly different center console and glossy trapezoidal air vents.
The car will go on sale from next September and it will be available with the same range of engines as the GLE Coupe.
The GLE 250d will be equipped with a four-cylinder 2.1 liter engine producing 204 hp with 480 Nm of torque, being also available with a four-wheel drive system. The GLE 350d 4MATIC will be equipped with a 3.0 liter V6 turbodiesel engine producing 258 hp with 620 Nm torque, consuming 6.4 liters/100 km and emitting 169 g/km of CO2.

The GLE 500 4MATIC will be equipped with a 4.7 liter V8 twin-turbo engine producing 435 hp with 700 Nm of torque, with an average consumption of 11 liters/100 km and 258 g/km CO2 emissions.
The hybrid GLE 500e 4MATIC combines a 3 liter V6 twin-turbo engine producing 333 hp and an electric motor of 85 kW (116 hp), delivering a combined power of 442 hp with 650 Nm torque. It has an average fuel consumption of 3.3 liters/100 km and it emits 78 g/km CO2, having an electric range of 30 km.
The GLE 63 AMG is equipped with a 5.5 liter twin-turbo engine producing 557 hp with 700 Nm of torque, while the GLE 63 AMG S produces 585 hp and 760 Nm of torque. Both have an average fuel consumption of 11.8 liters/km and emit 278 g/km of CO2. The GLE 63 AMG S does the 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, having a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h, which can be increased to 280 km/h with the AMG Driver’s package.
