Mercedes-Maybach unveiled the S600 Pullman Guard, their new armored car that will make its official debut at the Paris auto show, next week.

The Maybach Pullman is described as the ultimate luxury car, having a length of 6.499 mm, 1.053 mm more than the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, a wheelbase of 4.418 mm and an extra 100 mm in height compared to a standard S-Class. The increased dimensions, make it offer an abundance of space to its passengers.
Its interior features two seats in the front and four at the rear, positioned facing each other. The main window of the rear seats is electronically controlled and it can be made transparent or opaque, at the touch of a button. There is leather upholstery, wooden decorations, electric blinds, a central console, a 3D Burmester sound system and an 18.5-inch screen.

Unlike simple S600 Guard that offers VR10 ballistic protection, the highest level of security that can be offered in “civilian vehicles”, the Pullman has a VR9 bulletproof protection to the body and windows.
The weight of the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard is 5.1 tons, because of its armor and the doors are so heavy that Mercedes has placed electric motors to help people to open them. The windows are made of polycarbonate material that does not shatter in an explosion or collision.
The car is equipped with a 6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine producing 530 hp with 830 Nm of torque. Due to its weight, its top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h.
The price of the car is €1.4 million in Germany, with the first deliveries to begin in the second half of 2017.
