Mercedes-Benz announced that they are recalling 6,858 E-Class (E300 and E300 4MATIC) in the U.S., due to a problem in the wiring of the fuel pump.

The recall concerns the E-Class produced between 10 December 2016 and 30 June 2016 and according to the NHTSA, the problem is in the wiring of the fuel pump which is located under the rear seats. There is a case that someone who sits in the back seat, can cause a problem in the wiring of the fuel pump, which could lead to the engine shutting down.
