Nissan launched the production of the Qashqai in January of 2014 and within a record time of 21 months, they produced in their factory in Sunderland, England the 500,000th car.
The company expected the first generation of the model to sell 100,000 to 150,000 cars, but it managed to sell over 800,000 units. Worldwide over 2.5 million Qashqai have been manufactured, with the car being sold in 84 countries.
