The Alfasud Caimano concept was presented at the 1971 Turin auto show. The Alfasud Caimano, was a creation of Giorgetto Giugiaro and it was based on the Alfasud, but it never went to production.

Instead of the conventional top of the Alfasud, the Caimano concept had a glass dome. The design consisted entirely of straight lines that create angles and air vents in the hood.
The car was equipped with a four-cylinder 1.2 liter engine producing 62 hp with 83 Nm of torque, combined with a 4-speed manual gearbox sending the power to the front wheels.
