At the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show Isuzu presented the 4200R. The car was equipped with a 4.2 liter V8 naturally aspirated engine producing 350 hp.
The engine was combined with a 5-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The interior of the car featured a digital dashboard, a fax machine and satellite navigation (GPS).
