Isuzu unveiled it’s brand new jeep , the MU-X, which will be sold in 4 × 2 and 4 × 4 versions. The design of the Japanese car has many influences from the Isuzu D-Max, with prominent trapezoidal grille and muscular fenders to give it an imposing appearance. The interior can accommodate up to seven passengers.
It is equipped with a four-cylinder 3- liter diesel supercharged engine producing 174 hp and 380 Nm of torque , available from 1,800 rpm. The power will be transferred either to the rear wheels , or both axles, through a five-speed manual or electronically controlled automatic serial transmission with five relations.
The versions, that will have the automatic transmission will be equipped with automatic ascent and descent , while the four-wheel drive models will feature the sophisticated four-wheel drive “Terrain command” and using the switch located on the console the driver will have options of 2-high, 4 – high and 4-low range.
The core version will have a sound system with six speakers and iPod connectivity and Bluetooth, while the most expensive LS-T version having built- in at it’s ceiling the Sky Sound system with a 10 – inch screens for the rear passengers.
It’s price in Australia will start from 40.500 AUD (€ 28.321) for basic 4 × 2 LS-M with the automatic transmission, while the most expensive 4 × 4 LS-T will cost 53,500 AUD (€ 37.404).
