Peugeot had presented at the 2006 Paris auto show, the 908 RC. The initial idea was to create a limousine with an imposing style that offers a new driving feel for all four passengers. The car had a huge panoramic roof, which along with other glass surfaces covered a total area of 3 square meters, giving the occupants a unique experience and contact with the external environment.
The car had the body of a four-door limousine, with its height reaching 1,370 mm. It was equipped with a 5.5-liter V12 HDi diesel engine producing 700 hp and 1.200 Nm torque. This power passed to the rear axle via a 6-speed sequential gearbox, with the 908 RC being able to reach 300 km/h.
