At the 1988 Paris auto show, Peugeot presented the Oxia Concept, which was designed by Gerard Welter and featured many futuristic elements.
The Oxia Concept was equipped with a 2,85 liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 680 hp at 8,200 rpm with 985 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The engine was placed in the center with the power to be sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. It weighed 1,250 kilos and it had a top speed of 348 km/h.
