The one-off Mustang prepared by Ford for this year’s EAA AirVenture, was auctioned for $295,000, with all proceeds going to the Experimental Aircraft Association organization and also to the EAA Young Eagles, which from 1992 onwards has offered flights for more than 2 million children and plays an extremely important role in inspiring the next generation of aviators.
The Shelby GT350 Ole Yeller, which pays tribute to the aircraft P-51 Mustang “Ole Yeller” is painted in a yellow color with black stripes and green details. The logo “Ole Yeller” is present on the rear fenders, with the car having also a large spoiler above the trunk.
It also has black Forgiato rims, Recaro seats in the interior and yellow details. It is equipped with a 5.3 liter V8 engine producing 533 hp with 582 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, which sends the power to the rear axle.
