Opel presented the brand new 2016 Corsa OPC, its new hot hatchback. The new Corsa OPC has a sporty look, it features vents in the front bumper and bonnet, a large spoiler at the end of the roof and double exhaust tailpipes of Remus.

The car is equipped with a 1.6 liter Turbo Ecotec engine that delivers 207 hp and 245 Nm of torque from 1,900 to 5,800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with the power to pass on the front wheels. The 100 km/h from a standstill comes in just 6.8 seconds and the car has a top speed of 230 km/h. The average fuel consumption amounts to 7.5 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers and emissions are 174 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
The interior features Recaro seats, a leather steering wheel with a flat bottom, a OPC lever, sport pedals and new instrument panel.
The 2016 Corsa OPC, is lowered by 10 mm compared to the simple Corsa and for the first time, Opel engineers worked with Koni to equip the fast Corsa with Frequency Selective Damping shock. The car stands on 17 inch alloy wheels with Michelin tires, dimension 215/45 and it has Opel Performance Center brakes with disk dimension 308 mm at the front axle.
The new Corsa OPC is equipped with ESP and traction control, but it also has the “Competition Mode” system, in which the traction control is turned off and ESP and it is less intrusive.

Finally, available for the 2016 Corsa OPC is the “Performance Package”. This includes the excellent limited slip differential of Drexler featured on the Corsa OPC Nurburgring Edition and 18 inch alloy wheels. Furthermore, the package includes a Brembo braking system with a disc of 330 mm on the front axle.
