Porsche presented the Cayman GT4, the first GT version based on the Cayman. The fastest version of the model laps the Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 40 seconds, time similar to that of the second generation 911 GT3.

The Cayman GT4 has been developed in the motorsport section of Porsche in Weissach, Germany. The engine, frame, brakes and aerodynamic design of the Cayman GT4 are configured for maximum driving dynamics, while maintaining flexibility and everyday usability of the car.
Stylistically, the car has new bumpers that increase downforce, with the front featuring larger air intakes, while the back features a centrally positioned exhaust, a diffuser and a large fixed spoiler. The optional equipment includes ceramic brakes, bucket seats from CFRP, special Sport Chrono Package with a unique Track Precision application and finally the Club Sport pack.
The interior of the Porsche Cayman GT4 is designed so that the driver and front passenger experience unfiltered driving pleasure. They sit in sports seats upholstered in a combination of leather and Alcantara, which have a very good side support. The steering wheel of the GT4 is new and guarantees perfect control because of its compactness.

The car is equipped with a 3.8 liter six-cylinder engine, derived from the 911 Carrera S, producing 385 hp at 7,400 rpm and 420 Nm of torque between 4,750 and 6,000 rpm with the 0-100 km/h coming in 4.4 seconds, with top speed reaching 295 km/h, while the consumption reaches 10.3 liters/100 km. The power is passed on the rear axle. The engine is combined exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and car’s weight is 1,340 kilos (90 kg less than the 911 GT3)
The braking system consists of brakes with a diameter of 380 mm for the front and rear axle with 6-piston calipers front and 4-piston at the back. The optional PCCB brakes have a diameter of 410 mm. The car stands on 20 inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, dimensions 245 foot front and 295 rear.
The car will make its debut at the Geneva auto show, this March, with the orders to be already open. It will be released on the streets by the end of March, with a price starting in Germany at €85.779.
