This is the Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 concept presented in Paris by Lamborghini. The first plug-in hybrid car of Lamborghini is equipped with a 5.2 liter V10 atmospheric engine producing 610 hp (the same engine as the Huracan), combined with three electric motors that add an additional 300 hp, the car delivers a total of 910 hp combined. The engine is combined with a 7-speed DSG gearbox that sends power to all four wheels with the 0-100 km/h coming in three seconds, with a top speed of 320 km/h. Using only the electric motors, the car can be driven for 50 kilometers with a top speed of 125 km/h and has an average consumption of 4.2 liters/100 km and 98 g/km emissions of CO2.
The initials “LP” in the name stand for “longitudinal posterior” and the “I” stands for “Ibrido” which in Italian means hybrid, while the name Asterion from the mythical Minotaur of Greek Mythology.
It is equipped with 20 inch rims on the front and 21 inch at the back and it is painted in Blue Elektra color. The interior features a minimalist design with two seats placed visibly higher than the typical seat position of Lamborghini cars, in an effort to give a more comfortable riding position. At present, the Lamborghini does not intend to get the Asterion in production.
