In Paris along with the Civic Type R Concept, Honda presented the Civic MY2015. The MY2015 Civic and Civic Tourer feature a new front bumper, new lights with integrated daytime running lights, the Civic hatchback also has a new rear bumper, side skirts, black rear spoiler and LED rear lights.
The interior of the Civic MY2015 is fitted with new seat fabrics, stitching on the headrests, new upholstery with chrome door handles and the control panel can be painted in metallic black. The interior also features the Honda Connect infotainment system which runs Android OS 4.0.4, through a 7 inch touch screen, the system offers Internet Radio, Bluetooth, browsing the internet, satellite navigation and reversing camera.
The Civic Sport is based on the Civic hatchback and it is available with a 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel engine producing 120 hp or a 1.8 liter I-VTEC petrol engine producing 142 hp. It features a rear spoiler, 17 inch alloy wheels, sporty front bumper with a small grille, which resembles that of the new Type R while at the interior the roof is lined with black fabric.
All MY2015 Civic models are equipped as standard with the CTBA (City- Brake Active) system which uses a radar to scan the road ahead for obstacles, and if it detects any, it alerts the driver to help avoid or mitigate an accident at low speed. The system can automatically brake the car when it is moving at speeds below 30 km/h.
