Volkswagen presente in Paris the Tristar Concept, a prototype based on the Transporter, built to celebrate the anniversary of 30th anniversary of the Syncro concept.
The concept off-road car features LED daytime running lights, increased ground clearance by 30 mm (in comparison to the Transporter), 17 inch wheels, off-road tires and a winch. The interior features leather seats, metallic decorations, a 20 inch tablet, swivel seats and an espresso cafe machine.
It is equipped with a 2.0 liter TDI engine with 204 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a 7-speed DSG gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels. The 0-100 km/h comes in 10 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h.
