The rain was not able to stop Porsche in the 6 hours race of the Fuji, where the company got its fourth consecutive victory in the WEC championship with Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber to lead the victory with a 919 Hybrid after 216 laps.
The second 919 Hybrid finished 14.3 seconds behind, with Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb, while at the third position was Fässler, Lotterer and Tréluyer with the Audi R18 e-tron quattro. The second Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Di Grassi, Duval and Jarvis, was in the fourth place, while the 5th and 6th place was taken by Toyota.
