Renault presented officially the new Kadjar, its new crossover, which will replace the Koleos and will be placed above the already successful Captur.

The car borrows several design elements from the Captur and also from the Nissan Qashqai, on which it is based. The French crossover is a pretty attractive proposition having a strong influence from the DeZir concept. It features LED daytime running lights and several chrome details on the mask. The body of the car and has a length of 4.45 meters, width of 1.84 meters and it is 1.6 meters high, with the ground clearance reaching 190 mm.
The interior features a sporty and elegant design with high quality materials, The dashboard of the Kadjar consists of a large centrally mounted screen. The luggage compartment reaches 472 liters, while inside the cabin there are several pockets for small items with a total capacity of 30 liters. The optional equipment features a fixed panoramic roof of 1.4 square meters, which adds lots of light in the cabin.
The car is available in four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive versions, with Renault indicating that the Kadjar encourages adventure, while providing easy maneuverability in the city thanks to its modest dimensions, having a 10.72 meters diameter of turning circle.

Renault has not announced anything about the available engines, but they are expected to be similar, if not identical to the engines available on the Nissan Qashqai.
The debut of the car will take place in Geneva in March. Renault believes that the Kadjar will become a best seller in its class in Europe. The French company believes that in 2016 the car will make 118,000 sales in the European market, stealing sales from the Nissan Qashqai, which last year made 203,550 sales. The ultimate goal of Renault are 200,000 sales annually for the Kadjar.
