According to rumors the Golf R400 will be released in 2017 in a very limited production. It will be equipped with a 2.5 liter TFSI producing over 400 hp, with the power passing on the road via a seven-speed DSG gearbox, through all the wheels. It will be able to do the 0-100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and it will have a top speed electronically limited to 280 km/h.
