Once again Saab goes through hard times, with 200 of the 400 workers at its plant in Trollhättan to be dismissed by the Chinese NEVS, the new parent company of the Swedish automotive company.
NEVS has now lost the right to use the Saab name after bankruptcy protection, the Chinese have stopped the production of Saab models in May. NEVS is seeking new funds through long-term funding in order to begin production.
The dismissal of 200 people will happen at the end of the month. NEVS desire is to keep the rest of the staff so that it can keep the plant in good condition, to be ready to restart the production of the cars.
