Iveco presented the Vision concept. The prototype is designed with ecology in mind and has an admittedly impressive design. The body is made of plastic, the lights are LED and the front columns are see through. Also, the roof is transparent and the side door opens by sliding.
The company has not released several photos of the interior, but from the one they gave, we can conclude that the cabin follows a minimalist design with a digital dashboard, while the van has a tablet and a rearview camera that displays images in a panoramic screen that is over the windshield.
The “automatic load management system” is quite interesting, using sensors to recognize objects and to indicate where they should be placed for optimal space utilization. Iveco did not describe in detail the powertrain of the Vision concept, but they confirmed that it consists of a hybrid engine for long trips and an electric motor that allows it to move with zero emissions.
