The Mercedes S-Class facelift was caught by the camera lens, being tested, with minimum camouflage, which means that it will soon be presented to the public. Mercedes-Benz is expected to formally present the car either at the Paris auto show, or next March at the Geneva auto show.
Its exterior features small changes, having new LED lights at the front and rear, new bumpers and a new grille and it will be offered with new wheels and new colors.
Its interior has a new three-spoke steering wheel, new decorations and two new screens. Mechanically it is expected to be available with the same engines as the current model, among which will be a new six-cylinder diesel engine, prodcuing 340 hp with 700 Nm of torque.
In addition, Mercedes will integrate a 48V mild hybrid system in the renewed S-Class, with the flagship of the company to be the first model with such a hybrid system. Initially the hybrid system will be offered in six-cylinder gasoline engines and later it will be added to diesel engines.
