Subaru presented the Forester tS, the production version of the Forester STI tS Concept, which will be available in just 300 units, exclusively for the Japanese market.
The Subaru Forester tS has been developed in collaboration with the Subaru Tecnica International (STI), featuring several elements of the concept, such as the aggressive body kit, which includes re-designed bumpers, front splitter, black rear spoiler, large exhaust tailpipes and 19 inch forged BBS rims with Bridgestone Turanza ER33 tires.
The interior features a multifunction display, leather steering wheel with red stitching and the STI logo and black leather upholstery with red stitching.
The STI suspension lowers the ground clearance by 15 mm (in comparison to the “normal” Forester) and the brakes are from Brembo. Subaru has reprogrammed the ECU of the two liter engine so that it can deliver 280 hp with 350 Nm of torque. The engine is combined to a CVT Lineatronic automatic transmission that sends the power to all wheels. In Japan the price of the car starts from ¥ 4.350.000 with, Subaru to accept orders until April 5, 2015.
