Ford gave a teaser video of the new Everest that will be presented on November 13 in Beijing. The car will be based on the original Everest Concept and it will be built on the same platform as the Ranger. It will be offered in a two-wheel and four-wheel drive version and it will be available with the four-cylinder 2.2 liter Duratorq TDCi engine producing 150 hp with 375 Nm of torque, and the five-cylinder 3.2 liter Duratorq TDCi engine producing 200 hp with 470 Nm torque.
The interior is spacious and borrows many parts of the new F-150, featuring the new infotainment system SYNC 2 with an 8 inch touch screen. The 7-seater SUV will have “exceptional off-road capabilities,” and one of the lowest aerodynamic drag coefficients in its class.
