Takahiro Hachigo the new CEO of Honda, has announced that he plans to create a “new” Honda and instead of focusing on numbers, the company will focus on creating products that satisfy their customers.
He also said that Honda will be more open to partnerships and joint ventures with competing companies, to reduce costs and to develop next-generation technologies.
Regarding the future, Hachigo said that Honda will spend more time and money to develop better products that will follow the market trends. It will also restructure its R & D department in order to lower their rates of development, in the interests of quality control and workload of its employees in that department.
