Volkswagen presented the Cross Coupe GTE concept at the 2015 Detroit auto show. The model has an aggressive front with an aluminum grille and LED lights while it also features muscular fenders, black details and sharp lines.
It also has a sloping roof that ends in a small spoiler while it stands on 22 inch wheels. The 5-seat interior is simple and it features leather seats, piano black and aluminum decorations, a digital instrument panel and the 10.1 inch screen of the infotainment system.
It is equipped with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 3.6 liter V6 engine, two electric motors and a battery of 14.1 kWh. The combined power reaches 355 hp and 379 Nm of torque, which allow the car to do the 0-96 km/h in around six seconds and to have a pure electric range of 32 kilometers. The Cross Coupe GTE may be a concept, but it is assumed that if it has a positive impact, it will go into production.
