Volkswagen presented the Golf GTD Variant. The Golf GTD Variant features dark LED rear lights, LED license plate illumination, chrome exhaust tailpipes, 17 inch wheels with tires sized 225/45, diffuser, spoiler, sports suspension with a lower ground distance by 15mm, black roof rails and bi-xenon lights.
The car is equipped with a 2.0 liter diesel engine producing 184 hp at 3,500 rpm with 380 Nm of torque between 1750-3250 rpm. The 0-100 km/h come in 7.9 seconds, 0.4 seconds slower than the hatchback version, with a top speed of 230 km/h. The car consumes 4.4 liters/100 km.
The interior features sports seats, black roof, illuminated door sills, three-spoke sport steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and a GTD gearshift. Additionally there is a white LED backlight, automatic Climatronic air conditioning, parking system, winter package and Composition Touch sound system. In Germany the price of the car starts from €31.975, with it being already available for order. The official presentation of the car will take place at the Geneva.
