An American woman has found her first car, a 1967 Ford Mustang , after it was stolen 28 years ago. The Californian Lynda Alsip had in fact saved $ 800 in 1984, when she was 17, to buy a Ford Mustang. After purchasing the car the woman went to buy the personalized license plate “Lynda67”. In 1986, the Ford Mustang was stolen and since then she did not see it anymore.
In recent days, however, a man in California, resident of Salinas, the same city where Lynda Alsip has always lived , tried to register a Ford Mustang of 1967 and found out that it was the car stolen 28 years ago. The man is justified by saying that he bought the car in 1991 with the intention of restoring it at home, with the coupe that not being restored since 1991 still in the garage of the man. Currently the police are trying to trace the previous owners of the car, to find the person responsible for the theft that took place almost 30 years ago.
The Ford Mustang of the woman was equipped with a 289 cubic inch Windsor V8 engine, the equivalent of 4.7 liters, and was able to deliver 195 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The woman now plans to restore it and put it on the road again.
