Alfa Romeo unveiled today the first pictures and details of the Alfa Romeo Gloria Concept, which will make its world debut at the Geneva Show in three weeks.
The four-door prototype was designed in cooperation with the Alfa Romeo Style Centre with the European Institute of Design (IED) of Torino, in particular the Master in Transportation Design section. The Gloria represents the Italian spirit and sporty soul of the company and it’s target market will be America and Asia.
As we can see from the picture released by the Italian automaker, the prototype has many historical stylistic elements that distinguish the models of Alfa Romeo.“We asked the students of the IED to give us their completely independent interpretation of a new Alfa Romeo saloon. The result was stimulating and marked by professional and creative excellence.”said Lorenzo Ramaciotti, Head of Fiat & Chrysler Design.
It still remains unclear whether the concept will have an gasoline engine or it will be powered by an electric engine, but the Alfa Romeo claims that it is designed so that it can fit a state of the art V6 or a twin-turbo V8.
Finally, the company along with the presentation, will be launching an app for the iPad, where users can choose between five different car color and rims, as part of a project of OZ Racing.
