The new Porsche 991 GT3 was presented  at Geneva along with the 911 GT3, which has been built over the wide chassis of the Carrera 4 and features a new bodykit, with a new front bumper, front splitter, a large rear spoiler and dual exhausts mounted in the center. It is equipped with 20 inch wheels with Dunlop Sport MAXX  tires of size 245/30 front and 305/30 rear. Also, Porsche is preparing the Clubsport version of the car which will also have a roll cage in the back seat.

On the interior the seats are covered with black leather and Alcantara fabrics, with the wheel being dressed in Alcantara and red stitching.

It is the fastest 911 GT3 that has ever been produced with the 3.8 liter six cylinder boxer engine that produces 475 horses at 8,250 rpm. The 0-100 km/h can be completed in 3.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 12 seconds, and it has a top speed of 315 km/hour.  The pistons are forged and the rods are made of titanium. To reduce weight,Porsche has made extensive use of aluminum. The hood, doors, trunk and spoiler are made out of aluminium. It weighs 13% less than in the previous GT3, while having 25% more torsional stiffness and a  kg/horse ratio of 3.0

For the first time, Porsche builds the solution of active wheel steer (Active Rear Wheel Steering), in order to achieve greater accuracy. Depending on the speed, the rear wheels turning in the same or opposite direction relative to the front wheels, thereby improving  the stability and flexibility. It is 44 mm wider in the back than the Carrera 911 S. The orders have already started with the first cars being delivered by August. In Germany the price starts from € 138.000.
