Hyundai gave the first two official photos of the new Genesis . The new Genesis will be the first model of the Korean brand which features the new design philosophy , Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, the main feature of the hexagonal grille and a more modern look .
The model will be officially unveiled this coming January in Detroit and as we see from the pictures it has LED lights , LED fog lights and many chrome decorations.
Hyundai says the new Genesis is safer than its predecessor, has an improved structure and improved rigidity , offering better handling and better protection in a collision . Among the security systems available are pre-safe seatbelts with automatic activation .
It will be available with the new all-wheel drive Hyundai Traction (HTRAC). The system of the Korean company electronically controls the torque between the two axles, depending on driving and road conditions . The HTRAC allows the driver to choose between several modes and has been tested thoroughly in both the Nürburgring and in winter conditions in Europe and in Yeongam F1 track in South Korea.
The car also features electronically adjustable suspension (Advanced Traction Cornering Control). It will go on sale in the second trimester of 2014 and at the interior it features a big screen in the instrument panel , which borrows several elements from the new Equus, while it also has new 10 – speed automatic transmission that was prepared by the Koreans .
It will be equipped with a V6 3,8- liter engine producing 394 hp and a 5.0 – liter V8 producing 429 hp and 509 Nm of torque. Both engines come with an 8 – speed automatic transmission which sends the power to the brand-new all-wheel drive which will be available in the additional equipment.
