Volkswagen has officially announced that at the Shanghai Autoshow it will present the CrossBlue Coupe Concept. The concept borrows its name from the 7-seater CrossBlue Concept launched at the start of the year at the Detroit Autoshow and shows us the new design philosophy that the next generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan will have. It has a length of 4,889 mm, a width of 2,015 mmm, height of 1.679 mm, wheelbase of 2,980 mm and it stands on 22 inch rims with tires measuring 285/45.
It is equipped with the V6 TSI engine producing 300 horsepower which is combined with two electric motors, one front-mounted producing 40 kW (55 bhp) and a rear producing 85 kW (115 bhp), giving a total of 415 hp.
It is four-wheel drive and has 5 modes (Eco mode, Sport mode, Offroad mode, EV mode, Charge mode). The 0-100 km/h is comlpeted in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 236 km/h and an average fuel consumption of 3 litres/100 km.With only electric motors active it has an autonomy of 33 kilometers and a top speed of 120 km/hour, the autonomy with all engines active is 1,190 kilometers thanks to it’s 80 liter fuel tank.
It weighs 2,220 kg and features a sporty front bumper with a very thin grille, LED lights, ventilated hood, brushed aluminum decorations, spoiler and twin tailpipes integrated into the rear bumper.
At the interior it features a modest design with flat and angular surfaces. It has leather seats, metallic trim, black shiny decorations, a digital dashboard, infotainment systems and an entertainment system for the rear passengers, with a luggage of 537 liters.
