The car, is named “Project Ahura” and it has been prepared by FR Performance, with the list of modifications on it, being very long.

First of all, beneath the surface it is completely custom, it has a tubular chassis, thanks to which the RX-7 Ahura is 20 centimeters wider than a stock RX-7 and 23 cm longer. It is equipped with a wide Rocket Bunny-style body kit and it stands on 19-inch Vossen light weight alloy wheels that have the same width at the front and the rear.

The engine bay features a rotary engine with 4 rotors that has a capacity of 2.6 litres, a giant Garrett turbo and a Holinger 6-speed sequential gearbox with straight-cut gears. The turbo is capable of 2,500 hp, but the estimates of Dahm are in the 1,800 hp region, with racing gasoline and 1,200 hp with normal petrol!

The differential on the front axle comes from an E36 M3, while the on the rear axle from an M5. The suspension of the car is identical to that of the Hoonicorn of Ken Block and it has even been manufactured by the same company (ASD Motorsports). The braking system of this RX-7 consists of 355 mm diameter discs with 6-piston calipers.

Dahm’s plans regarding the car are simple. He wants to go to Bonneville with the car and see if he can reach its top speed, which after scaling of the gearbox is 410 km/h! The car is not yet completed and it will be ready by March 1, 2017.
