Honda has started teasing the new NSX, which will be presented in the Detroit auto show on January 12. According to the Japanese brand, the production model is based on the prototype we saw three years ago back in the same auto show, with rumors saying that it will also be available as a roadster.

It will be equipped with a V6 twin-turbo engine with an included angle close to 90 degrees and three electric motors (two on the front wheels and one in the automatic double clutch gear box) with a total yield of 400 hp.

Honda has said the model will cost as much as the 911 and R8 but it will offer the pleasure of 458 Italia, with the 0-100 km/h being achieved in less than 5 seconds.

The new NSX will be built at the Performance Manufacturing Center prepared by the company in Ohio. It is scheduled to go on sale in 2015. It is 4.330 mm long, 1.895 mm wide, it has a height of 1.160 mm and a wheelbase of 2.575 mm. It will stand on 19 inch wheels front and 20 inch rear with tires sized 255/35 front and 275/30 rear. The design has been done by the Acura Design Studio in Torrance, California and the model has already sold-out in England.
