The Alfa Romeo Disco Volante at the Geneva Motor Show is painted in teal color. The Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera has paint the car first in a golden hue for the green color to look better, the color also is accompanied with gold and red accents.
The car is based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and the company wants produce six cars with the entire process to complete a car, taking about six months and 4,000 man-hours.
The car was built to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Alfa Romeo C 52, that was remembered as Disco Volante, which we also encountered on the company’s booth. The Touring Superleggera Disco Volante is equipped with a 4.7 liter V8 engine of Maserati producing 450 hp and the body of the car is hand crafted aluminum.
The car has a sequential gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel, sending power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. The 0-100 km/h comes in 4.2 seconds, having a top speed of 292 km/h. It stands on forged 20 inch aluminum wheels with Pirelli PZero Rosso tires, measuring 265/30 front and t 285/35 rear. Its dimensions are 4.613 mm long, 2.020 mm wide, 1.335 mm high and it has a wheelbase of 2.696 mm and a weight ratio of 49:51.
