Alpina presented in Geneva the special editions of the B5 and the B6. Under the hood of both, is a significantly modified version of the famous twin-turbo V8 of the BMW.

In its present form, the 4.4 liter engine delivers 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque and it is combined with an eight-speed ZF gearbox and a limited slip differential of Drexler, with the power passing to the rear wheels. The 100 km/h from standstill is achieved in 4.2 seconds, having a top speed of 327 km/h for the B5 sedan and 322 km/h for the B6 coupe and convertible.
The Edition 50 versions, feature a Akrapovic titanium exhaust and new 20 inch alloy wheels. Only 50 units will be built for each version, with a price starting from €115.226 for the B5 and from €135.000 for the B6.
Besides the B5 and B6 Edition 50, Alpina has in its booth the XD3 Bi-Turbo. The XD3 is based on the X3, but it is equipped with a 3 liter straight-six engine producing 350 hp and 700 Nm of torque, combined with an ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, that enables the SUV to do the 0-100 km/h from in 4.9 seconds. Beyond that, the XD3 is equipped with electronically adjustable shock absorbers, 20 inch alloy wheels and new exhaust.
