The new concept of Hero, is called iON and it really impresses with its aesthetics, its mode of operation and the technologies that it feayures. Aesthetically, the iON seems to come from a science fiction movie.
Specifically, the iON is equipped with an electric motor which is powered by a new type of lithium-ion batteries and hydrogen fuel cells, which increase its autonomy. Finally, it features supercapacitors, that promise fast acceleration and braking.
Moreover, the electric motor transmits the power directly to the hubless wheels, which are driven through the magnetic energy. Thereby eliminating any friction and energy loss. The result, according to Hero, is that the iON (theoretically always) does the 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds and it has a top speed of 160 km/h. Furthermore, its autonomy reaches 300 km (?) !
The impressive technologies, however, do not stop here. The iON has a sophisticated suspension system, which Hero calls m-link. This system also uses magnetic energy, and sensors that perceive road conditions and adapt their operation in real time. The motorcycle handlebar is controlled with a type of joystick, which according to the company does not turn like a conventional wheel! It is worth pointing out that the wheels have gyroscopes and speedometers, to ensure the stability of the iON.
