Hyundai presentes in Korea the Aslan, which was firstly presented at Busan in South Korea. The luxury compact sedan will be added to the lineup of the Korean company, it is intended only for the local market and it will cover the gap between the Gradeur and the Genesis.
It adopts the design philosophy Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 of Hyundai. It has a large chrome grille, and features LED daytime running lights. Hyundai describes it as an elegant fwd sedan that offers “quiet and refined ride comfort”, as it features double glazing in the windshield and side windows, to prevent unwanted outside noise from entering the cabin.
The design of the interior resembles a lot the design of the Genesis and features leather seats and wood paneling on the dashboard and doors.The car features many electronic systems, such as the active cruise control, forward collision warning system, lane departure warning system and blind spot detection. It stands on 18 inch wheels, it has 9 airbags, adjustable suspension, ABS with EBD and ESP, tire pressure detection system, automatic climate control and much more.
It is available with two V6 petrol engines, a 3 liter one producing 270 hp and 310 Nm of torque and a 3.3 liter producing 294 hp and 346 Nm. Both are combined with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddles on the steering wheel.
The Hyundai Aslan will go on sale before the end of the year the price of boots from 39.9 million. Won (about 29,500 euros), and the Korean hoping to sell 22,000 units next year.
