Hyundai presented the renewed Veloster at the Chicago auto show. The Veloster facelift has acquired a new front bumper, new grille, new hood, new lights, new rear bumper with diffuser and central exhaust tailpipes in the Turbo version.
The interior features new decorations and new entertainment system that integrates the Visibility radio, Siri Eyes Free, SiriusXM Travel Link and the latest generation of Blue Link telematics.
The Veloster Turbo has a new 7-speed DCT gearbox, presented with the i30 Turbo and the steering Flex Steer. The 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission will be combined with a 1.6 liter turbo engine, replacing the current six-speed manual.
The four-cylinder 1.6-liter T-GDi turbo engine produces 204 hp. Finally, the renewed Veloster Turbo is equipped with an engine sound amplifier in the cabin, which allows the driver to choose between six different engine sounds.
Along with Hyundai Veloster facelift, the company also presented at Chicago the limited to 1,200 cars Veloster Rally Edition. The car is based on the Veloster Turbo R-Spec, with the Rally Edition having unique mats in blue color, leather seats and 18 inch black RAYS rims. The car also features special logos and various parts with carbon look.
It is equipped with a four-cylinder 1.6 liter T-GDi turbo engine producing 204 hp and 264 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox with the gear selector being of B & M Racing. Finally, the Rally edition has sporty suspensions and shock absorbers.
