In 2012, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) presented the MP4-12C High Sport, a special version of the MP4-12C that was produced in just 10 units. The car featured a new bumper, which increased its downforce and the flow to the intercoolers of its turbo engine, while its horsepower was increased by 75 hp. At the rear it had a new bumper with air intakes similar to those of the racing MP4-12C GT3, a new diffuser and a spoiler.
Mecum Auctions will auction one of the ten MP4-12C High Sport, with a chassis number, 9. The car has traveled only 203 miles and it is estimated that it will be sold between $1.3 and $1.6 million. Originally McLaren had planned to build only five copies of the MP4-12C High Sport, but the increased demand, led them to construct another five.
