Mercedes unveiled the renewed GLA at the Detroit motor show. The car features slightly redesigned bumpers, new designs for its alloy wheels, new LED headlights and a new available color, called Beige Canyon.
The company has worked to improve the performance of the GLA with the new model to have an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.28 Cd, which is 0.01 better than the current model. Mechanically the car will be available with a range of engines producing from 109 to 381 hp. The car also will have a new version, the GLA 220 4Matic that produces 184 hp, which will be placed between the GLA 200 and the GLA 250.
Its interior features a redesigned instrument panel and carbon fiber, aluminum and wood decorations. The cockpit of the German SUV is also renewed with a high quality upholstery. Mercedes will offer the Night package for the Style trim level, which includes a black grille, mirrors, roof bars and 18 inch alloy wheels.
Finally the car has an emergency braking system, an automatic detection of fatigue of the driver and a 360-degree camera that allows viewing the car from above. The new Mercedes GLA will be launched on the German market with a starting price of €29,000.
