Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace

Volkswagen presented officially at the Detroit motor show, the Tiguan Allspace, the seven seater version of the successful mid-size SUV. The car features a slightly redesigned front part and hood, bigger rear doors and a slightly different roofline, while the back has minor changes.

The total length of the Tiguan Allspace is 21.5 cm larger than the simple Tiguan and its luggage space goes from 730 to 1,770 liters, depending on the location of the seats of the middle row. The third row of seats is included in the additional equipment of the Tiguan Allspace.

Mechanically it will be available with a 1.4-liter TSI producing 150 hp, a 2.0-liter TSI producing 220 hp, a 2.0-liter TDI delivering 150 and 190 horsepower in two different versions and a bi-turbo 2.0-liter TDI producing 240 hp.

For the moment the exact technical details of the new model have not been announced. The Tiguan Allspace is expected to have a starting price in Germany, close to €30,000 which means that it will be about €2,000 more expensive than the simple Tiguan.
