Toyota presented the Crown facelift, which is available exclusively for the Japanese market. It is offered in three versions called Athlete, Royal and Majesta. The first has a new grille, with LED lights and larger tail lamps.

The second edition has a more aggressive bumper and chrome decorations. Its interior features a brown upholstery and wood. Finally, the Majesta has an updated front and rear suspension, that enhances the rigidity of the body and the ITS Connect system.
The Athlete version is available with a 2 liter turbo engine, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The other versions will continue to be available with a 2.5 liter V6 engine, combined with either a 6-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the power passing to either the rear or all four wheels.
Moreover, the Crown will be available for the first time in a hybrid version that combines of a 4 cylinder 2.5 liter engine producing 178 hp at 6,000 rpm with 221 Nm of torque and an electric motor of 105 kW with 300 Nm of torque.
