The new Citroen C1 and C1 Swiss & Me concept made their debut on the Geneva Motor Show. Rightly or wrongly, the C1 stands out from the cars in its category and it manages to do this with its characteristic front part.
The C1 has a length of 3.46 meters, width of 1.62 meters and according to Citroen, it weighs just 840 kilos. It will be offered as a three-door five-door and Airscape (with fabric retractable roof) model, while the prospective buyer can choose between 8 different colors and 2 two-tone colors for the body.
The interior is very much like the one of the Peugeot 108. The C1 is available with a 7-inch touchscreen with the extra equipment including luxuries such as keyless entry & start, a rearview camera and hill-start assist. The C1 will have a choice of two sets of engines, a 1 liter with 68 hp combined with a 5 speed gearbox and a Start & Stop system and a 1.2 liter one producing 82 bhp and 118 Nm of torque. Both engines consume a little more than 4 liters per 100 km and emit less than 99 gr/km of CO2.
Citroen had also at their stand the C1 Swiss & Me concept. The changes are identified in stylistic details and colors of the prototype, as it combines a red roof, which hosts the Swiss flag, with the rest of the car to be pearly white . The Citroen C1 Swiss & Me features a small rear spoiler, plastic protectors around the car, large alloy wheels and a centrally positioned exhaust outlet on the rear bumper.
Finally, Citroen also had in their stand the DS3 Racing and the Racing Cabrio, the C-Elysee WTCC, the racing car of the company and the DS 5LS intended for the Chinese market.
