Jaguar is reportedly working on several prototypes of the F-Type, building a faster and more powerful version of the four-wheel drive F-Type Coupe R.
The sales director of Jaguar Land Rover, Andy Goss, in a recent interview confirmed this by saying:
We have taken the F-Type pretty far, but I would go even further. We will make it more powerful without doubt.
Gross went on to say that Jaguar is planning to make the F-Type a range of products, not just a car. Until 2020, Gross says he wants the Jaguar to be “a performance company of choice.”
He did not extended further as to what we can expect from the F-Type in the coming years, with the currently fastest F-Type to be the F-Type R AWD, with the 5 liter V8 producing 550 hp having a top speed of 300 km/h.
